AN ANTIQUE NEW HAVEN CHIMING BRACKET CLOCK, WILCOCK PATENT CHIME, CIRCA 1900, the George III style gilt metal mounted mahogany case centering a rectangular beveled glass door opening to a silvered ring dial with black Roman chapters and blued steel hands above twin key escapements, cornered by gilt seraphim spandrels on a square form polished brass panel, set within a conforming case and corner maiden terme mounts, beneath a stepped cornice with fruit filled urn cast corner finials centering rectangular stepped cushion molding topped by a flaming urn finial, raised on a conforming base with frieze centering scrolling foliate modeled mount incorporating a chime winding key escapement, above molded trim over a rectangular plinth on floral scrolling feet, right side chime/silent lever beneath cloth-backed reticulated curling leafy foliage cast panels, verso paneled door opening to the brass with steel clock and chime works, the lower brass chime works panel engraved in circular "WILCOCK PAT / PAT. IN / CANADA 1896," next to arched "PAT. AP'D.FOR / U.S.A.," behind five hammer strike wire gongs. Good condition for clocks of this age, use and materials including but not limited to gilding worn to base metal in areas throughout, silvered ring dial has scratches, back right foot has stress crack, patches of surface rust on steel parts, surface scratches on internal brass parts, lacking winding keys and pendulum.
