A PAIR OF ECCLESIASTICAL MILK GLASS GILT BRASS FIVE LIGHT CANDELABRA, FRENCH, LATE 19TH/EARLY 20TH CENTURY, five cande cups with grape leaf bobeches set among four blooming white milk glass lilies, wheat sheaves, and grape bunches, issued from a tapered cup with scrolling vine dual handles, on tripod feet centering a grape leaf medallion and raised on scrolled feet. Height: 25 1/2" Width: 17" Depth: 6" Note: The present candelabra with a theme of the body(wheat) and blood(grapes) of the Eucharist, and purity(lily), is well represented by symbolic elements found within the candelabra. Provenance: Property from a Prominent River Oaks Estate Collection, Houston, Texas.
