NATIVE AMERICAN SOUTHWESTERN-STYLE POTTERY ARTICLES, LOT OF SEVEN, each featuring geometric hand-painted decorations, including a squat 7" D rim circular bowl signed "BERTHA / TUNGOVIA / TEWA" (d. 1998) to underside, a small basket form example with intertwined handles, a double spout example, and two black and white painted examples having "ACOMA" to underside. 20th century. 6 3/8" HOA.
Five undamaged, except three having some wear to painted decoration; basket form example with minor flake to rim with moderate wear to painted decorations; double spout example with an approximately 2 1/2" L horizontal hairline crack to medial body. Some having manufacturing flaws, including firing separations, as made.
Provenance: From the private collection of Edwina and the late Bernard Bishop, Williamsburg, VA.
