Description

This cotton 1870's (some fabrics are earlier) album patch quilt is hand pieced and hand quilted, with a nice brown floral chintz border. It measures a generous 84" X 84" and is in excellent condition, with the occasional small, faint age spot and no wear. There are simple grid and straight line designs quilted throughout at 5-6 stitches to the inch. The back is an early black print, the edge is treadle machine stitched, and the batting is thin.
