Tang Dynasty, 618-906 AD. A bronze discoid mirror with one polished face, chamfered rim, feather-pattern textured field with leaf and tau-cross motifs, central lozenge with ribbed loop; with a custom-made stand. Cf. Song, L., Chinese Bronze Ware, Cambridge, 2011, pp.145-8. 1.1 kg total, 19cm wide including stand (7 1/2"). Ex London gallery; formerly acquired in the 1990s.
