Description
**First Time At Auction**
Roman, early Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 2nd century CE. A wonderful attachment cast from leaded bronze via the lost wax technique that exhibits a prominent trio of figural busts standing shoulder to shoulder. The regal figures present with flowing robes adorned with discoid shoulder ornaments and stare forwards with narrow eyes that flank petite noses. Attachments like this example were perhaps mounted on areas of chariots, personal adornments like sheaths or necklaces, or everyday items in wealthy Roman estates. Size: 1.3" W x 0.75" H (3.3 cm x 1.9 cm)

Minor softening to some finer details, otherwise intact and very good. Smooth earthen deposits on verso, and great patina throughout.
