Description
Roman Empire, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. This is a curved plate with three attachment heads and the original pin intact; it was probably used to buckle a leather strap of some kind. This is one of those utilitarian artifacts that connects everyday life in the past to our own. Size: 1" L x 3/4" W (2.5 cm x 1.9 cm).
