First edition. Number 138 of 225 copies. Features Satie's compositions and Martin's pochoirs of golf, fireworks, tango dancing, swimming, picnics, tennis, weddings, theater and other pursuits. When Stravinsky turned down the offer to join the project, Satie was commissioned to compose the melodies to accompany Martin's radically modern designs. The result was one of the most influential 20th Century compositions for Satie and a major work of Art Deco design for Martin.
