CARUSO, ENRICO. Two Autograph Letters Signed, in full or "Caruso." The first, to the U.S. Consul General in London, sending a list describing Caruso's costumes [not present] and giving his address in Berlin. The second, to "Dear Mr. O'Connell," in Italian, thanking for his letter and Musica periodical, apologizing for having to decline the contract relating to Mr. Lamb, and touching upon terms for a Boston appearance. Each 2 pages, 12mo, written on a folded sheet, the second on "Hotel Knickerbocker" stationery; mounted together on board 15x12 inches overall, 4 holes punched in upper margin of second with minor loss to text, folds. - Np, 25 September 1909; New York, 18 February 1913
