Description
A rare Egyptian bronze Harpoon of Horus pendant, 3rd Intermediate to Late Period, c. 1075 - 332 BC, with detailed head of a falcon wearing tripartite wig surmounted by the blade of a harpoon, the shaft descending below the head with suspension at base, another loop at back of head. L: 2 in (5 cm). Nicely patinated, losses to lower suspension loop. Custom stand. Ex Roman private collection acquired in London in 1996.
