Title: FAMILY CIRCLE.
Silver bromide vintage print, Buffalo, New York circa 1950s.
Dimensions: 10 1/2 in. x 13 1/4 in.
FAMILY CIRCLE photograph was exhibited in South Africa, Germany and France during the 1950 (view exhibition labels on verso including additional information).
Condition: good overall original vintage estate condition, minor handling.

*Alfred Watson (American, Pittsburgh, PA, 1916-200). Award winning American photographer of the Depression, World War II, Industrial, Urban and Rural Life and the Steel Industry, Alfred Watson developed his photographs in his homemade basement darkroom. Born in Pittsburgh, PA in 1916 and several years after his father abandoned the family, Alfred's mother gifted him his first camera, a Brownie, which she purchased for $1. That was the beginning of his decorated career.
Watson was widely exhibited and awarded for his keen eye across America, England, Spain, Uruguay, Hong Kong (China); Cuba, Puerto Rico, Australia, and Canada.Just a sampling of the many exhibitions in which he was noteworthy include International Salon of Photography (London, Bristol, South Shields, Southampton, Windlesham, England; Pasadena, CA; Chicago, IL; Newport, Rhode Island; Barcelona, Spain; Chili; Victoria, London, Vancouver, Edmonton, Canada); International and American Exhibition of Photograph and more.
