Description

Tall Black Opal vase with nicely detailed peony decoration done in 1925 by Sara Sax. In this instance, the Black Opal glaze has the requisite blue bloom we love but allows the decoration to show through very nicely. Marks include the Rookwood logo, the date, shape number 2785 and the incised monogram of Miss Sara. Height 13 3/4 inches. Great color and glaze with faint crazing.
