Description
This lot consists of an unframed watercolor illustration on paper, done in the modernist style of Raoul Dufy (French, 1877-1953). Image depicts a charming bouquet of brilliant yellow sunflowers, overflowing with warmth and bloom. Overall measurements are approximately 18.25" x 12.5".
Raoul Dufy (French, 1877-1953) was a printmaker, illustrator, and designer. When he was 18, he began his formal artistic training at a local municipal art school. From drawing he moved on to painting, and branched out from there. Dufy was heavily influenced by contemporaries like Camille Pissarro and Claude Monet.

Condition
Overall good condition. Minimal toning and rippling has occurred with age, most noticeably on the reverse side of piece. Colors remain vibrant and rich. Please examine photos for further detail.
