Title: FOLKY CIRCA 1900 COLUMBIA, SC ARROWHEAD & BUTTERFLY SPECIMEN MOUNT

Provenance: Circa 1900 home-made mount of 10 Native American Arrowheads, Butterfly and Moth. Constructed from a repurposed wooden cigar box with gold overpaint and filled with old cotton batting. Adhered to the cover glass is an old jelly jar label with manuscript sepia ink notation reading: “South Carolina Columbia”. Exterior box dimensions when closed are 8-1/4” X 5-1/2” X 1-3/8”. Condition: soiling, toning, multiple scuffs and chips to paper covering on box exterior.
