This is a very fine Old musical instrument from the Nyamwezi peoples of Tanzania, Africa.The instrument features a finely carved ancestor figure atop of the neck of the instrument with long pegs and a lizard skin membrane over the body of the instrument.At some point the Zeze harp was restrung and is still payable, however one tuning peg appears to be missing. Note the well handled and worn patina of the neck, suggesting many years, even decades of traditional use.This fine old instrument measures 35.5 inches tall.
