Description
American Revolution
Museum Quality Wood Stave and Iron Powder Barrel
c. 1775 18th Century Revolutionary War Era, Large Wood and Iron Powder Barrel, Choice Near New.
An exceptional quality larger size Revolutionary War Era Powder Barrel measuring 10.25" long x 5.75" wide bulging to 7" wide at the center. The surfaces feature a rich, original, smooth and dark patina even on both its wood and iron. Two bungholes (missing the plugs) are present -- one in the center and a smaller hole in one of the ends. Ten Iron hoops hold the wooden staves in place, creating an impressive visual appeal. We've offered several similar casks in the past but this is one of the nicest we have handled and a superb example for and Revolutionary War militaria display.
