Description
Belleek Figure of Erin, "symbolizing the dawning of the Pottery" (Belleek Irish Porcelain by Marion Langham, p. 5). Marked twice with black 1st Marks (1863-1890), although one is faint. There is loss to the applied flowers and leaves just below the figural vase and a flat chip to the base. Also, there are three faint factory firing lines to the piece. The first runs across the base from front to back and is more visible underneath the bottom than on the top of the base. The second extends from Erin's right sandal towards the back of the piece. While the third is about 1" in the drapery at Erin's waist (please see photos). 17" tall.
