Description
1647 INSTITUTIONES PHYSICAE / PHILOSOPHICAL, ALBERT KYPER, WINGAERDEN, MEDICINE
Very Scarce work by the German Physician.
Kyper had attended school in Kneiphof and, at the age of eighteen, enrolled on May 21, 1632 at the University of Konigsberg and began studying philosophical science.
Apparently, he got the academic degree of a Master of Philosophy there.
The situation in Germany during the Thirty Years War caused him to flee to the Netherlands.
On June 30, 1638, he enrolled at the University of Leiden as a medical student.
Here he was in 1640 with the treatise De lue venera Doctor of Medicine Ph.D. From 1643 he could give lectures on physics at the Leiden University as a private lecturer.
Kyper was a follower of the old school, an admirer of Aristotle and Galena, in which context his work Institutiones physicae was created.
