A James Smith Compound Monocular 1st Class Microscope, 1840,
Serial No. 12, Signed J. Smith London No. 12.
Three objectives, three eye pieces, analyzer, polarizer, Lieberkuhn reflector, lister type compressor and plano/concave mirror, numerous lenses, slides and six drawers of slide specimens, see photos.
In a fitted mahogany case with twelve drawers.

Assembled height: H: 17 1/2 in
Box dimensions: H: 19 1/8 x W: 11 x D: 9 1/4 in.

Exhibited at The Dittrick Museum.
