Stuart and Sons for White Star Line, a First Class cut glass carafe, circa 1911, spherical form with conical neck, two bands of vertical mitre cuts to the body, below a slice cut neck, hand etched and engraved with the White Star flag and pole logo, 15cm high Note: designed and produced for the First Class compartments of RMS Titanic and Olympia, examples of glass ware in this same cut design have been recovered from the wreckage of the Titanic and others are on display in both the National Museum, Liverpool and the Red House Glass Cone, Stourbridge, where the glass was made. Similar, less elaborate glassware was produced for the Second Class cabins of the White Star Line, with acid etched rather than engraved burgee logos
