Description
A very unusual tin piece of advertising made by the American Can Company in Chicago. It is a tin-lithograph invitation to the National Canners Association theatre party at the Davidson Theatre in Milwaukee, WI, dated February 13, 1902. The outside of the invitation in colorful tin lithography shows the silhouettes of the two Rogers brothers from the Davidson Theatre. The inside shows the cast of characters that are playing in the Klaw and Erlanger Comedy Co. and Gus and Max Rogers producing "The Rogers Brothers in Washington." There is also a synopsis of the scenes of the play for Acts I, II and III. A beautiful piece of tin lithography and extremely uncommon. Shows very little wear or use at all. Tin shows slight foxing on the back; otherwise no dents or significant scratches. Condition: (9.0 - 9.5). Dimensions: 6 - 3/4" x 4 - 1/4".
