Three Tie Dye Shawls, India, Mid 20th C. Including 1) a length of crepe fabric with tie dye (bandhani) worked in simple dot patterns (bindi or bundi) in white on a red ground. Stretch. 3' 1" x 7' 9" (94 x 236.2cm). 2) another in white on a blue ground. 2' 0.5" x 7' 2" (62.2 x 218.4cm). 3) and another made of fine green-dyed cotton muslin with a few additional, very thick warps and wefts inserted during weaving parallel to edges and ends to make thickened border lines. 2' 8" x 7' 6" (81.3 x 228.6cm).
