The French painter and graphic artist Paul Signac is considered a conqueror of Impressionism and was besides Georges Seurat one of the most influential artists of Neoimpressionism and Pointillism. After initially studying architecture, Signac first focused on Impressionist painting, inspired by his role model Monet. Together with his friend Geoges Seurat - founder and leading representative of Neoimpressionism - he created a completely new art movement called Pointillism.
