c. Late 19th Century, Decorative Hand-Carved "Eagle and Anchor" Wooden Baton / Swagger Stick, Very Fine.
This late 19th century hand-carved Baton / Swagger Stick measures about 22.75" long with a 2" diameter ball. The ball is carved with an American Eagle and a Navy Anchor. Most likely used by a Marine, as Swagger Sticks were very common during the late 19th century and a required part of their uniform for officers and senior noncommissioned personnel. Shows some expected light wear from actual use. A nice example for display.
