Description
Very rare set of 4 letters regarding the release petition of a Polish Jewish prisoner of war! One letter is exchanged between Oberkommando der Wehrmacht and the Kommisar of the city of Lodz, where this Jew called Moschek Bat was from. The letter states that he is assigned a prisoner number and states the POW camp where he is confined. There's also a hand written letter by Moschek himself asking for his exemption. Another machine typed letter is sent to the Major of Lodz asking if he accepted the application of Moschek asking for his exemption. The 4th letter, also machine typed, rejects the petition of the Jewish POW. Very nice set with a sad story behind it.
