NAPOLEON MOUNTS HIS POLISH CAMPAIGN.
Letter Signed ('Napol') to his Minister of War General Clarke giving detailed instructions for 15 regiments leading to his conquest of Poland, 3 pp, 225 x 184 mm, Osterode, March 11, 1807, light folds.

DURING THE POLISH CAMPAIGN IN THE WAR OF THE 4th COALITION NAPOLEON DEMONSTRATES HIS MASTERY OF STRATEGY, ordering the complicated movements of 15 regiments to and from nine German and Polish cities, prepping for the culmination of his Polish conquest. Napoleon's French army joined German, Italian, and some Polish troops against a Prussian, Russian, British and Swedish coalition, with the French forces prevailing in July 1807, with the Treaty of Tilsit giving Napoleon control over almost all of western and central continental Europe.
