Description
Solidarity. Set of postage stamps from 1980 - 1989, issued illegally by the Solidarity Trade Union in Poland. The stamps played a propaganda role in the fight against the communist regime in Poland. The first binder contains stamps referring to well-known events in Polish history (such as Katyn - the murder of Polish officers in 1940 by the Russian authorities), presenting outstanding Poles, reminiscent of the struggle of nations remaining under Soviet occupation, such as Georgia, Belarus. Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia. There are about 180 stamps in the cluster. In the second class there are stamps devoted mainly to the Marshal of Poland Józef Piłsudski. There are about 38 of them in total..***THIS ITEM SHIPS FROM OUR EUROPE OFFICE***
