**First Time At Auction**
Egypt, Late Dynastic period, 26th to 31st Dynasty, ca. 664 to 332 BCE. A mold-formed faience amulet fragment depicting Nefertum, the son of Ptah and god of perfumes and unguents. Nefertum presents with a false beard and a tripartite wig, and atop his head is a lotus-form headdress with lateral menets on the sides and a bifurcated plume on top. Lustrous turquoise-hued glaze envelops the entire figure in vibrant color. Size: 0.5" W x 1.2" H (1.3 cm x 3 cm); 1.75" H (4.4 cm) on included custom stand.

Condition
This is a fragment of a larger faience amulet. Losses to forearms and lower body as shown. Minor softening to some finer details and light encrustations. Great detailing and traces of original glaze color throughout.
