Description
Early 20th century. A five tube example, with paw feet, beveled glass door, carved decoration which features palmette, scrolled, and swag elements, urn finials; the Arabic numeral dial with moon face; the tubes are marked for Herschede, the brass movement is simply marked "Germany", the back of the case is marked with the numbers 5, 12, 527. The weights, pendulum, key, and all five tubes are present as pictured.

Condition
The case is in generally good condition with scattered abrasions, scratches, and other expected wear. There is a noticeable area of loss at the top left corner of the door as pictured. One finial is missing the ball. The fabric at the sides is torn. The dial has areas of stains and corrosion.
