Helen West Heller (1872-1955) Poet, Painter and Printmaker. She was born in Rushbille, Illinois. She moved to Chicago in 1892 seeking education in the arts and in 1902 she moved to New York where she studied at the Art Students League and supported herself with embroidery work. She was active during the WPA andher work was collected by Onya La Tour and official with the Federal Arts Project WPA. She was elected an associate of the National Academy of Design and her work are in many museums including the Library of congress, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco.

Condition: Very good condition and color, save for a very faint mat line. Full sheet of paper, likely a Japanese paper with long fibers. Full paper size.
