Description
A Near Eastern square stone plaque with a horned goat, c. 1200 - 600 BC, carved in a greenish serpentine-like stone with black speckles. The goat carved in relief with foreleg raised, two mounting holes with remnants of the original iron pin that fastened it to another object. 2 1/8 x 2 in (5.4 x 5 cm). Ex Hampshire, UK private collection.
