Exceptional French Empire Style Gilt Bronze Figural Mantel Clock, 19th c., with a winged nymph with a butterfly on her shoulder, atop a drum clock, time and strike, with a silk thread suspension movement, with an engraved steel face with a brass chapter ring, on a stepped relief decorated base on splayed legs, with pendulum and key, H.- 18 1/2 in., W.- 12 1/4 in., D.- 4 1/2 in.

Condition

Condition consistent with age and use. Strike works. Gilt bronze looks newly cleaned. One hole in top on proper left of drum clock where something was fastened at one time. Pre 1850 in age.
