April 12, 1865-Dated Civil War Era, Partially-Printed Document, "Payment of Bounties to Volunteers" Bond. State Of New York, $10,000. Cut cancel. Choice Very Fine.
Original State Of New York, "Payment of Bounties to Volunteers" Enlistment Bounty Payment, dated April 12, 1865. This Bond was issued to Comptroller of the City of New York. Payments were made to Union Civil War Volunteer soldiers. Manuscript and cut cancels at center by the Comptroller, Signed, "L. Robinson." The payment was in the amount of $10,000. Boldly printed and historic, an item which would appear quite nice upon display. This scarce Form is quite nice, with a sharply Embossed Official Seal of the Comptrollers Office for the State of New York is in the lower left corner.
