Item Details

Description

Vellum glaze plaque depicting a snow covered winter landscape, the work of Lenore Asbury in 1917. We have not removed the plaque from it's original frame but we guarantee it is impressed with the Rookwood logo and date, and bearing the artist's monogram in dark slip on the front. 1917 is written on the back of the frame along with an original label showing the title as "A Winters Evening” by "L. Asbury”. There is fine overall crazing. Size is 5 1/4 x 9 3/8 inches, framed to 9 7/8 by 14 inches. Elizabeth Rudisill Collection.
