Taino Zemi God of Pure White Shell
A fine compact carving from dense thick shell, either from the local version of the giant clam or from the thick part of a conch shell. Other lots here say about the Taino, this particular piece is from southern Puerto Rico, drilled as a suspension amulet, another fine one in very fine original condition. 1 7/8" length.
