This lot consists of an oil painting on stretched canvas, done in the bold, Naive Art style of Fernand Leger (French, 1881-1955). "F. Leger" is inscribed by hand at lower right corner. Image depicts a handsome woman holding a lock of her long, black hair. Her features are whimsical, smoothly toned, and full of life. Framed piece measures approximately 25" x 19".

A faded label is affixed to the reverse side of this work. Stamp reads, "Galerie L'Effort Moderne", and provides information on the Parisian gallery it came from. Label also accredits the work to "Leger", with a date of "1906".

Overall good condition. Colors are bold and rich. No tears, stains, or serious damage visible. Reverse side of canvas shows some age-related toning. Frame is sound and retains the integrity of the work as a whole. Please examine photos for further reference.
