ASSORTED AMERICAN FOLK ART INKWELLS, LOT OF TWO, comprising a Colorado ore inkwell, with applied bear fur to the underside with a note "Colorado Ore / Wilson 1882.", and a wooden example with inkwell entwined in roots, with illegible signatures on the bottom. Fourth quarter 19th century. Ore 3" H; wood 5" H.
Very good overall condition, wooden example with minor losses to the wood, each with areas of expected usage wear.
Provenance: From an Aldie, VA private collection.
