Description

An English sterling silver inkstand / pen tray with two inkwells and centered by an Aladdin oil lamp (working lamp) with snake formed handle. The lamp is removable and is the lid for the container box below (see photo). Acanthus leaf border. Raised on four lion paw feet. Hallmarked on the underside, HW within a rectangle for Horace Woodward, London, England, 1874. Measures 9.5" wide, 6.5" deep, 5.25" high. Weighs 778 grams.
