Description
Western Europe, the Netherlands, Dutch, ca. 18th century CE. An attractive collection of twenty-five trade beads formed from near-opaque glass of a deep cobalt-blue hue. Each lozenge-shaped bead has narrow terminals as well as dozens of small facets with give each bead an elegant presentation that glints in the light. A wearable piece of European history! Size (necklace): 30.5" L (77.5 cm); size (largest bead): 0.2" W x 1.5" H (0.5 cm x 3.8 cm).

Condition
Strung in modern times and wearable as shown. Glass beads are from the 18th century CE, and stringing is modern. Small losses and nicks to terminals of some beads, and minor abrasions. Light earthen deposits throughout.
