Description
A Lekythos form Greek hammered bronze funerary urn, circa 350 BC. Possibly a
Greco-Egyptian example of Ptolomaic period, it has a fully engraved pictoral story type surface, much of that somewhat hidden under its natural burial surface. Under its tiny flat base, a disk of gold takes up more than half that circular surface and appears to have a design or is perhaps letters. Nice condition, 9.25" high and 4.25" at widest.
