mid-19th century, attributed to J. H. Belter, New York, in the "Tuthill King" pattern, profusely carved with a floral crest and the back pierce-carved with grape clusters and vines.

Condition
In overall fine condition. No sign of any carving losses. There is an old repaired crack to the left proper
front leg. The chair is strong and sturdy throughout. Appears to retain its original casters. Rich, dark
finish. The fabric is pristine.
