**Originally Listed At $200**
Eastern Europe, Russia, ca. late 18th to early 19th century CE. A lovely cast-bronze cross with a Crucified Jesus as the most recognizable image. Two small cherubs fly downwards towards Christ while trumpeting their accompanying horns, and above them is a small depiction of God the Father; there is also an integral suspension loop on the verso of this image. Below Christ's emaciated body is a depiction of Adam's skull in the cave, which signifies how Christ will absolve the sins of even the most treacherous of humans. Standing atop a slanted footrest, this depiction of Jesus Christ is as powerful today as it was centuries ago. Size: 6.125" H (15.6 cm).
