Marcel Fecteau began painting at a young age, and has had a lustrous career as a Canadian landscape painter. As one of the founding members of the Norditude du Parc des Grands Jardins de Charlevoix, his landscapes are regarded for their accurate and well-balanced compositions of both the natural and manmade landscapes of Quebec.

This landscape, entitled “La Riviere d’Ottawa”, depicts a hillside, winter landscape in Ottawa. Fecteau’s luminous approach to depicting the land and expertise in creating harmonious, balanced landscapes allows him to beautifully depict his homeland.
