Herder SS Dagger with Sheath 13 1/2" OAL, 8 5/8" blade, "25007" and "I" marked cross guard, standard hilt and sheath. The reverse side of the blade shows signs of heavy grinding and polishing; while undocumented, such grinding is associated with former Rohm honor daggers that had their markings expunged following the Night of the Long Knives. Mainly issued to SA men, a limited number of SS men received Rohm daggers, and few bothered preserving them following the disgrace and execution of the SA chief. Fair overall, with scuffs and cracks.
