Heuer, Rare Military Bundeswehr 3H Flyback Chronograph, Stainless Steel, Manual Wind, Ref. 1550SG, Circa 1960s Case: 43 mm, stainless steel, three body, with oxidized finish, bi-directional matte black elapsed-time bezel, round pushers, and polished screw-down back comprising movement frame and crystal, stamped with German military markings, No. 4609 (civil)/BW 6645.12.146.5081 (military) Dial: matte black, with outer minute/seconds track, luminous Arabic numerals, red 3H (hydrogen-3) symbol, and stepped guilloche seconds and 30-minute registers; skeletonized white baton hour/minute hands with luminous inserts, white baton and sword register hands, and luminous arrow-tipped chrono hand Movement: Heuer (Valjoux base) caliber manual wind, 17 jewels, Swiss lever, with chronograph, hacking seconds, and flyback functions, monometallic balance with self-compensating flat hairspring, and rhodium finish Band: leather Bund military strap Signed: Heuer on dial, case, and movement Designed solely for military aviation, the Bundeswehr was used by the West German Luftwaffe from the 1960s through the 1970s. The red 3H symbol is for tritium (Hydrogen-3) and, with the BW and military serial numbers on the case back, confirms it to be military-issue. HID03101242017
