Longines, Rare Czech WWII Military Pilot's Watch, Never Commissioned, Stainless Steel, Manual Wind, Ref. 3582, Circa 1938 Case: 40x52 mm, stainless steel, three body, tonneau, with bi-directional reeded bezel incorporating luminous arrow, fixed lug bars, and snap back, No. 20067/101 Dial: matte black, with outer "railroad track" minute track, luminous Arabic numerals, and sub seconds dial; skeletonized spade hour/minute hands with luminous inserts, and steel baton seconds hand Movement: Longines caliber 15.94 manual wind, 15 jewels, Swiss lever, with gilt finish, No. 5663899 Band: leather NATO-style strap Signed: Longines on dial and movement This rare timepiece was produced for the Czech military prior to the German occupation, and was never commissioned. It is accompanied by a Longines Extract from the Archives confirming its reference number, movement caliber, and December, 1938, invoice to the Kohn Company, which was Longines' agent in Prague.
