Description
20th century, Dorothy Doughty (Italian, 1892-1962). A pair of Queen Elizabeth's Training College for the Disabled Fundraiser premiums: "Wahlenbergia Sreno Calyx, Balkan Mountains" and Saxifraga Faldonside (Seedling)" porcelain figurines. Marked on underside. Approx. height of the tallest 5.75". Provenance: From the Estate of Mr. Cecil S. Whitehead, Jr., Atlanta, Georgia.
Condition
Both with glazing imperfections. Dirt and grime present to both--would benefit from cleaning. One with firing crack to underside, other with chip to underside--not readily visible. Yellow flowers with scattered small chips. Restoration to one yellow petal. Purple flowers with small chips to petals. One missing stamen. Minute chips to leafy elements.
