Description:
Four-page manuscrpt document, on sello quarto (2 conjugate sheets). 30.5x21.2 cm (12x8").
Manuscript legal document regarding the case of an Indian, Francisco, who was carrying his drunk grandfather, but the latter was not regaining consciousness. Francisco brought him to his wife, where they heard his chest "cracking." While they gave him aid, the grandfather died. The document contains the testimony of Francisco, in which he narrates how he found his grandfather drunk, the trouble he had carrying him, that he placed him under a tree and left him all day, but when he wasn't responding he carried him to his wife, where he passed away. One of the Indians with whom his grandfather drank was identified as "Aguardiente." The document is incomplete, apparently, but still compelling.
