Prince's New Power Soul Tour 2-Piece Lilac Ensemble by Domenic Serio Featured in "Picturing Prince" by Steve Parke Acquired From 1st Wife Mayte Garcia W/Signed LOA/Book by Mayte & Book by Steve Parke - This stunning 2-piece lilac ensemble was made for Prince by clothing designer Dominic Serio. Serio began working with Prince in the late 1990s, and this outfit was made for the New Power Soul Tour and other personal appearances at Paisley Park and in Las Vegas. The collared blouse (with a bit of remaining stage makeup at the collar) has a pleated diagonal design up the front with exaggerated cuffs and slits up the sides, and comes with matching high waisted trousers. Both pieces have a sewn in Domenic Serio designer label. This particular outfit was well loved by Prince, who chose to wear it for several photo shoots with award-winning photographer Steve Parke (please see reference photos). Those photos were featured in Parke's book "Picturing Prince", a copy of which will accompany this lot. This ensemble was acquired from Prince's first wife Mayte Garcia, and will be accompanied by a letter of authenticity from The Collection: Prince Archives signed by Mayte. The pair will also come with a signed copy of Garcia's book, "The Most Beautiful. My Life With Prince."
