A French Gilt Bronze and Marble Mantel Clock with a Decimal and Conventional Dial
circa 1795
the circular enameled dial with inner numerals from 1 to 5 and outer numerals from 1 to 12, the movement striking on a bell with a silk suspension, the dial set on and flanked by foliate scrolls, the shaped base cast to show addorsed recumbent goats terminating in six paw feet, further over a rectangular base ending in toupie feet.
